Optifast: How Does The The Optifast Diet Work

The Optifast diet works by reducing your calorie rate below 800 calories a day – this means your body has to draw on your own fat stores instead of getting calories from food. There are four phases in the Optifast program – your health professional can advice you which one is best for your body. When you first start you replace all meals with Optifast products so that calorie intake can be clearly monitored, as you start to lose weight you then re-introduce normal meals.

  • Phase One: Intensive Phase: Replace all of your meals with Optifast products. Eat with two cups of low starch green vegetables and two litres of water a day.
  • Phase Two: Transition Phase: Introduce one low calorie meal back into your diet (between 300-350 Calories) eat in conjunction with two cups of low starch vegetables, two serves of fruit, one serve of dairy and two litres of water per day. (Fruit and dairy servings should contain 50-70 calories and 10-15g of carbohydrate.)
  • Phase Three: Maintenance Phase: During this phase you have just one meal using Optifast products and the rests are normal healthy low calorie options. You have it with two cups of low starch vegies, two serves of fruit, one serve of dairy, and two litres of water a day.
  • Phase Four: Stabilisation Phase: Once you have lost the desired amount of weight you should be at a stage where you no longer require Optifast and your are eating healthy meals that are low in calories. If you wish to continue losing weight it is vital to restrict calories under 1500 per day.

Just received a great customer review of St Moriz Fake Tanning Mousse Which I thought I would share with you.

1333299.jpgI’m a long term self tanner and have tried many of them, settling on St Tropez, which is really expensive! I bought St Moriz self tanner and it is fantastic! The colour is good, the mousse spreads nicely and dries fast, and it lasts around five days before you need to reapply it.

Best of all it doesn’t streak at all, and I really put it to test by training hard out at the gym!

Oh, and it doesn’t smell hardly at all. Every single self tanner I have used always has that “fake tan” smell about it – even after I’ve washed it off the next day. St Moriz however, doesn’t! It had a mild biscuity smell after applying it, but once I rinsed it off the next morning – no smell at all! And it doesn’t rub off on my white sheets (after the initial rinse off of course!). I will continue to use it, excellent value!

“How do I use MYHD as a Semi Permanent Hair Dye?”

Step One: Select the colour.

Select the desired MYHD Colour and the MYHD No Lift Colour Developer.

  • This colour should be darker then your current hair colour as the no lift developer will not lighten your hair – instead it works to deposit the colour onto your hair.

Mix 1 part of hair colour to 1.5 parts of No Lift colour developer in MYHD tint bowl.

  • Apply colour to dry hair.
  • Starting at the regrowth area apply colour carefully and evenly to hair.
  • Massage colour through the hair wearing protective gloves to ensure even coverage.

Step Three: Develop and mix.

  • Once the colour has been applied to the hair, leave for 40 minutes to develop.
  • Once the development has been reached, rinse the hair for 3 to 5 minutes in warm water until water runs clear.
  • Condition hair as normal.
